"Test of
Eligibility for International Assignment" (TEFELINA)
is the next most important step after PAT. The
format of TEFELINA has 48 different questions and
parameters which help to analyze and determine in detail
whether the incumbent
is at all fit for an overseas assignment.
Aim of this test is to weed out
people who may not be able to confirm to all parameters
as given above. On review of TEFELINA inputs, if
candidate has reasonable chances of success, seven days
after submission of TEFELINA, applicant is contacted for
telephonic interview which may last for 15-20 minutes.
During the course of this interaction
he or she is not only checked for fluency in spoken
English but an overall
assessment is made of his or her academic and financial
strengths coupled with his overall chances of success in an
international assignment.
More importantly, if the aspirant is
found to satisfy majority of the 48 criterions then he
or she is explained the chances of success. Based on this
candidate is asked
to take an informed decision, whether to attend personal
interview which in many cases could be quite a distance
away from his city of residence.
