Q. What do you mean by single-point, end-to-end career advancement solutions?
A. In simplicity it means that from the time you apply for a teaching assignment thereafter all actions take place under one roof till you reach your destination in a given country.

Q. Does this mean after selection I proceed on teaching assignment immediately?
A. Well not exactly. After application and during interview a complete appraisal and analysis of your career is done. These include language proficiency, computer literacy and teaching etc. Normally if theses skills are found at average level candidates are required to undertake International Career Development and Coaching (ICADEC) Program which imparts complete training for making the best use of the international assignment by way of monetary benefits and climbing up the ladder in the future country of residence.

Q. Why this training is necessary since I am a trained and experienced teacher?
A. Remember there is very little chance of learning on the job. The employer is looking for a performance from the very first day. Therefore, anyone aspiring for a career abroad has to be suitably trained, coached, equipped and groomed not only about his own profession but must be aware of the language, cultural and social environment coupled with the local atmosphere and flavour in more ways than one. In short, you have to be as good as the local guy. Therefore, the need for core curriculum which broadly addresses these issues Hence the “International Career Development and Coaching” (ICADEC) Program. This was developed in consultation with our associates and partners in various countries and the experience gained from our international consultancy team as well as the feed back from the professionals trained and deployed in various countries. Furthermore, the program has evolved and developed over the last 5 years. More importantly, it has been tested and benchmarked on more than 500 professionals who are successfully deployed in the Middle East and UK. In most cases this program is being conducted at the behest of schools, colleges and other specialised educational institutions.

FAQ’s - Interview and Selection Process under "PSSP"

1. "Pre-Select-Screen-Process (PSSP) is ICPI's proprietary short-listing, screening and selection methodology for international professionals which have an in-built database of pre-determined general requirements of qualifications, experience, age, subject specialization and precise list of 48 specific parameters for an average teacher to serve in a given country. These requirements and parameters vary from country to country which are arrived at through research carried out in association with principals, schools, partners, education specialists, consultants, schools and our alumni in target countries. The research inputs are computerized and tabulated to create key skill denominators and associated qualities necessary for making a success of an international assignment. The application of this technique takes place at preliminary, TOE, Telephonic interview and finally during the personal interview session. The results of each candidate are processed through our PSSP proprietary software for “categorization” of the prospect in various Categories viz. A, B or C.

2. Under PSSP Guidelines, Candidates who broadly fit into parameters of age, qualifications, experience and teaching subject specialization are asked to complete "Test of Eligibility" Questionnaire Form or TOE Form. This helps us to arrive at the suitability of an individual for an international assignment.

3. Those found suitable as per Test of Eligibility (TOE) parameters are sent an interview letter. Here in they are instructed to call and set up an Interview with the ICPI Director. During the call incumbent is briefly interviewed and is checked for proficiency in spoken English, telephone manners and other aspects. On the spot he or she is explained possible weaknesses observed as well as TOE portfolio shortcomings. And then given the option to attend or not to attend the interview.

4. An average interview session lasts anywhere from one and half to two hours. During this process the prospect is heavily grilled in various areas his strengths and weaknesses and statements made in the TOE Form. Academic and related documents are checked in original and copies retained for record. Based on scores achieved in Career Evaluation and Assessment sheet candidate as per his or her ability is awarded a category.

5. After completion of interview prospects are basically assessed as Categories A, B, and C. CAT-A simply means found fit in all respects, ready to proceed on assignment subject to completion of certain actions. CAT-B defines that a candidate is generally OK in most areas but found deficient in certain critical skills and documentation. CAT-C implies that presently candidate is unfit to proceed further in the near future due to weakness in qualifications, experience, critical skills and documentation. The details of the categorization process are given under separate head in this Annexure.

Q What is "On-campus-insta-recruit-process" or in short ‘ON-CAMPUS-IRP’?

A It is a distinctive computerised process specially designed and developed to facilitate 100% deployment of ICPI trained and certified professionals in our principal’s / partner’s / associate’s institutions or organisations.

Q Is there any pre-condition for minimum number of candidates to start the ON-CAMPUS-IRP’ process for recruitment?

A. None whatsoever. There are no minimum numbers of candidates to start our relationship. You can very well start with just one candidate and see for yourself how systematically the whole process works.

Q Broadly how does ‘ON-CAMPUS-IRP’ work for principals, partners or the professionals?

Answer:

1. ICPI is essentially an International Career Planning, Training and Development institution for professionals who want to expand their career abroad.

2. Presently we are entirely focused on the education sector. We are training qualified and experienced teachers with various subject specialisations 24X365 on an on-going basis for our principals and partners in the Middle East as per their annual demand profiles.

3. Hence we have ready database of teaching professionals who are pre-tested pre-screened, and pre-selected and interviewed under PSSP (see details of PSSP here in ‘FAQ’s - Interview and Selection Process under "PSSP")’ and eventually categorised to under go 100 hours training Program.

4. After a stringent selection process they are trained for 100 hours and then tested, benchmarked, certified under a highly specialised training program ICADEC (for details see above "FAQ’s - International Career Development and Coaching (ICADEC) Program).

5. On completion of this final step they are ready to depart for international assignments at a very short notice. More importantly, all teaching professionals have been selected and trained from the point of view of our principal’s and partner’s requirements.

6. Now let us say if principals or partners need a Maths, Physics or Chemistry teachers – Under the "On-campus-insta-recruit-process or ON-CAMPUS-IRP" once client parameters are fed we get a list of prospects who exactly fit the description to the extent of 90-100% of client requirements.

7. Now they have two options open to them – Firstly they may visit ICPI campus personally meet and select from among the ICPI Trainee’s list created through ICPI’s ‘On-Campus-IRP’ (proprietary software program) that are not only fit but are ready for departure at a short notice. Secondly they may like to use a instantaneous yet a very smart option which is preferred by most clients is to directly interview from the list of prospects generated through ICPI’s ‘On-Campus-IRP’ process remotely through the Telephone or Video-Chat or conferencing or combination of both.

8. On-Campus-IRP is the simplest yet the quickest and the most powerful way to get trained and benchmarked teaching professionals for your institution. Just imagine No Ads – No processing of number of applicants - No short Listing – No long Interviews – No hassles of selection and preparing the prospects – Just remotely interview few pre-screened, pre-selected, pre-interviewed and pre-trained teaching professionals ready to depart immediately.

9. Over the last 5 years ‘On-Campus-IRP’ system has been extensively tested and benchmarked and it has proved to be completely stable and reliable for any given situation.

Q. As principals or partners what are the service charges for using ICPI’s Services under the ‘On-Campus-IRP’?

A. Presently these services are being provided free to our principals and partners and have no plans to charge for them in the near future.

Q. What is the time taken after a candidate is finally selected by partners to reach his work site?

Answer:

1. Drawing upon from our experience in the Middle East, it may take 15-20 days by the time the candidate reaches the work site.

2. Generally the maximum time is taken by principals or partners in processing of contracts / agreements and residence-permit Visa documents at their end.

3. Once these documents are received by us it may take just one week for signing of contracts and visa stamping in the incumbent and his family’s passport to the point of final departure.

4. Another reason for short time frame is that in most cases we have annual demand profiles of our partners or principals in Gulf region which help us in advance planning for selection, training to keep required number of candidates ready for departure.

5. However in the case of UK we are yet to reach that stage where we have advance demand profiles. But our study and trials are underway which will help us to service the requirements in the shortest possible time.

6. Assuming candidates specifically selected and trained for UK may be made ready for departure at short notice but our research about the work permit application procedures in UK indicate it may take at least 4-6 weeks before an incumbent actually reaches his work site
