ICPI-Overseas Teacher Training Institute (ICPI-OTTI)
as it exists today basically evolved and developed over a period
of 10 years before it took concrete shape in the year
2000 AD. The ICPI-OTTI concept emerged out of the
experiences and practices of a team of highly qualified
senior professionals with varying consultancy backgrounds
in Management, HRD, Training, Testing, Development, Media,
Marketing, Communication, IT and Logistics.
More importantly this team as consultants to an international
American consortium, TECHONS, USA successfully assembled
and deployed approximately 3854 personnel. A multinational
and multi-disciplinary workforce for various projects
across Kuwait destroyed during the first Gulf War in 1991.
It comprised of nationals form UK, USA, India, Finland,
Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Sri-Lanka, Bangladesh,
Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and China covering virtually all disciplines
viz. Chief Executives, Senior and Middle level Managers,
Engineers, Technicians, Teachers for Schools, IT specialists,
Doctors and other medical staff for hospitals, skilled, semi-skilled and
unskilled workers for projects covering General Construction,
Oil & Petroleum Sector, Catering and Hospitality staff
for Hotels and Restaurants, Administrative and Technical
Personnel for Government, Industries, Airlines, Contracting
and Trading Companies.
Then at the height of IT boom form 1995-2000, the same
team as consultants to Technology Connections, Inc. Cupertino,
CA, USA were responsible for resourcing, training and
international deployment of 1844 high technology IT professionals
from India to USA. The Complete package for our clients
included from advertising of vacancies, short-listing of
ad response, preliminary interview, selection, and
final short list of candidates for interview with overseas
principals on telephone or through video-conferencing
leading to eventual selection. Thereafter, at the behest
of our principals we put together training and coaching
package for the incumbents wherein they were put through
160 hours of training and testing of their professional
disciplines coupled with coaching and polishing of their
interpersonal skills and development of social, cultural,
linguistic and personal aspect of working in the various
locations across USA.
In view of the mission critical nature of the IT assignment,
this highly specialized package was prepared to ensure
that each individual is not only productive form day-one
but it reduced any chances of rejection to zero percent.
